Southeastern Region: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Puerto Rico and Virgin Islands
Following a vote by Southeastern Region members, Rebecca Salter has been elected as governor-elect of the Southeastern Region of NATS. She will begin her term in July 2022.
About Rebecca Salter:
Just having completed her ninth year at Reinhardt University where she serves as the Music Program Coordinator, Dr. Rebecca Ann Salter has been teaching voice at the collegiate level for over fifteen years. Past institutions include Shorter University and Oklahoma City University. A successful teacher of many styles of singing, Dr. Salter’s students have been thriving in a variety of areas. Former students have appeared on film and television, Broadway, National and International Broadway tours, as well as regional theatres and young artist programs throughout the country. Many of her students have been selected as winners and finalists at the National Association of Teachers of Singing Student Auditions (Georgia District, Southeastern Region, and National levels). Dr. Salter holds degrees from the University of Oklahoma (DMA) and OCU (MM/BM). In 2016, she was chosen as a teacher participant in W. Stephen Smith’s Naked Voice Institute. Dr. Salter is certified from The Institute for Contemporary Commercial Music in Vocal Pedagogy (The LoVetri Method - Level I), and is a member of NATS (current Georgia President/past GANATS Vice President/SERNATS Registrar/SERNATS Repertoire Consultant) and Pi Kappa Lambda. She resides in the Lake Arrowhead community with her husband, Joseph.
